Paint made in Japan that blocks Wi-Fi
|
31/01/2009 View news item source...
Researchers at the University of Tokyo have blended paint with aluminium iron oxide, which has been found to resonate at the same frequencies used by Wi-Fi, thus cancelling out any electromagnetic waves in that frequency.
The idea being that if you paint your house with this paint, then the WiFi signal won't be able to get out to wireless interlopers. Although, surely this would only be 100% effective if you painted your windows too?! Very cool idea though.
