Disclaimer

Liability/Warranty:
First and foremost, I accept no liability for any damage that occurs due to following techniques outlined in any of the articles, or the advice in the question archive. The solutions in the archive, while tried and tested, could in some isolated cases cause unexpected problems to occur.

While the answers found in the archive solved the askers' problem, there are of course times when different problems will cause the same symptoms - thus I cannot guarantee that the solution will solve your specific problem, even if you seemingly have the same problem/symptoms.

I Think I Broke It does not guarantee the quality or accuracy of the information on this site. YOU AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THE I THINK I BROKE IT QUESTION ARCHIVE, AND OTHER INFORMATION AND MATERIALS RECEIVED THROUGH THE SITE WILL BE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

You are expected to have a working backup of your system and important data before attempting to alter anything by following the information contained in the archive, it's just common sense. For more information about backing up your system, click here.

'Borrowing' I Think I Broke It content:
All guides, images and question archive content remain the property of I Think I Broke It. If you want to use an image, or quote part of an article/question, please either ask permission from myself (an email will only take a moment), or place a link pointing back to the original article/question so others know where it came from. Of course, doing both would be great too!

Operating System Support:
With regards to operating systems; for the most part this archive focuses on problems with Microsoft Windows and software that runs on this platform. I have nothing against Linux or the Mac operating systems, but most of my experience is based in Windows, so I can't really offer much help with software I don't use

Questions with 'no answer':
It is possible that I know from previous experience that what you are trying to do is impossible; this might sometimes be the only answer. But it may be feasible in some cases for you to review and change your constraints so that I can suggest workarounds or other solutions. In these circumstances I'll try and suggest these alternatives.

Only Human:
I'm not here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I need to sleep, eat and work just like you do! An instant response therefore isn't possible in some cases.

I don't get paid in any way for helping to answer your question or researching possible solutions, I do so because I like to share my knowledge and may know from previous experience the answer to your problem.
